Processing Purposes

Jumbo collects and processes your personal data for recruitment and selection purposes. This includes activities in the scope of assessment of your skills, qualifications, interests and suitability against our career opportunities, to communicate with you on the recruitment process, to assist with obtaining visa or work permits (if required), to verify the data provided and to do reference/background checks, to comply with applicable laws and regulations and to contact you for future positions that suit your skills and capabilities.

Data Collection

As part of this recruitment and selection process we will request you to provide the following (personal) data, if applicable:
  1. Contact information (first name, last name, address, email and phone number)
  2. CV
  3. Motivation letter
  4. Information collected during interviews, video-calls and/or phone-screenings you may have
  5. Details of the type of employment you are or may be looking for, your notice period in relation to your current employment, current and/or desired salary and other terms relating to compensation and benefits packages, willingness to relocate or travel, and/or other job preferences
  6. Any sensitive and/or demographic information obtained in accordance with applicable law during the application process such as gender, citizenship, nationality, right to work in a specific country, medical or health information
  7. Reference information received from previous employer and/or background checks
  8. Assessment results
  9. Health certification (for crew)
  10. Work permit details
  11. Any other information you provide to us in support of an application

How we use personal data

Application data obtained through the website is stored in our system in a file that is only accessible to those who are directly involved with and responsible for your application.
Our HR department is supported by our office in the Philippines, where authorised individuals will have access to the personal data submitted.
We may share personal data with suppliers providing services during the application procedure (e.g. performing assessments). These service providers only process personal data according to instructions of MIC and MIC will, to the extent necessary, extend by contract its privacy policy and data protection practices.

Not hired:

Your data will only be used during the application procedure. After completion of the procedure, the information will be destroyed immediately. Unless, you give us permission to hold on to your (personal) data in order to consider you for positions in the future.


In case you are employed by MIC the data retained as part of your application procedure will be subject to our internal retention policy for employees. If you have a question regarding our internal retention period you may contact HR department.
